Cumming and Forsyth County breath test refusals

One of the worst aspects of a DUI case concerns the issue of a breath test refusal.  For a first time DUI, if you are pulled over by a  Forsyth County law enforcement officer for DUI, and he wants to charge you with a DUI, he will read you an implied consent warning and likely ask you to take a breathalyzer or undergo a blood test.  Here is the catch - if you don't take the test the officer chooses, and exercise your constitutional rights against self-incrimination, you face the possibility of an administrative drivers license suspension.

On the other hand, if you take the test, it is much easier to get around the DUI administrative license suspension, but you have given the Forsyth County prosecuting attorneys evidence to use against you to get a conviction of DUI.  Keep in mind that DUI cases are contested and won all of the time.

Forsyth County DUI lawyer Richard Lawson has been very successful in getting DUI cases reduced and won.  Call his office today for a free consultation.  A DUI comes with harsh penalties including the suspension of your right to drive in the state of Georgia and up to a year in jail for a misdemeanor offense.
